Newport Auctions deliver between 200-300 cars per auction. They have recently adopted AutosOnShow.TV software, so we caught up with them to talk about their experience.

Brett, the Digital Administrator, is in charge of uploading cars to the website. He deals with AutosOnShow.TV software every day as part of his job and is over the moon with the results.

It has super exceeded my expectations

Brett admitted to having been dubious about using the software “at first I was a bit wary about the time it would take to upload each vehicle but I am very impressed about the time it takes to do each vehicle”. Brett has been particularly impressed with how easy the software is to use. Brett described the software as a ‘plug and play’ system, as all you have to do after filming the vehicles is plug the camera in. Brett uses batch processing to upload more than one vehicle – therefore freeing up his time for other tasks.

Jim told us what a difference video has made to their visual offering, as it allows them to show a full overview of the car. From the inside and around the car, the video shows every aspect of the car in much greater detail. Video has proved popular, the auction house is beginning to see more cars coming through the auction doors and the easy to use system makes the extra workload manageable.

As a result cars are coming in quicker and being sold quicker.

Jim has found that the software has helped streamline the sales process, as it produces a more informed buyer. Jim has noticed that buyers will head straight to the vehicle they are interested in because they have seen it on the website and they know what they are looking at.
